What an amazing place! We had planned to go camping somewhere else and found White Rock mountain instead. It was just beautiful. We didn't hike many trails, but the few we did were nice, and the views make it so much better, I don't know why more people don't go here. It was really windy at night, and the water smelled like oil, so we drank bottled, but otherwise a nice place to be.
rustic cabins great views..shores lake loop trail west is good..east side a little rough..trail head connection to the ozark highlands trail or a must side hike for thru hikers...rough in late summer early fall humidity, bugs and heat...been there done that
Breath-taking views from the top of White Rock. Didn't see anyone on trails in 2 days of hiking. Beautiful small waterfalls heard and seen throughout trails. East loop seemed alot longer than marked and was tricky at times. Great hiking and beautiful solitude. Definitely a must visit.
