If you like to camp near streams, Pulltite is the place for you. This long, narrow campground stretches along a bend of the Current River. Across the river is the historic Pulltite Spring and Cabin, where gristmills operated from the mid-1800s until 1911. Powered by the spring’s daily 20- to 30-million-gallon outflow, this mill deep in the river valley indirectly gave the area its unique name. It was a “tight pull” for mules and horses pulling wagon loads of ground meal from the mill to the hillsides above the village of Pulltite.
