Breaks Interstate Park is so far southwest that it is almost east—in eastern Kentucky, that is. Put another way, this park sits closer to the state capitals of Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina than to Virginia’s capital in Richmond. The good news is that if you’ve come a distance to stay at Breaks Interstate Park, you’ll be glad you did. Whether it’s working up a sweat on the hiking/biking trails, beating the heat at Splash! in the Park, whitewater rafting through the Breaks Gorge on the Russel Fork River, chasing a little white ball at nearby Willowbrook Country Club, or sitting back and enjoying musical shows at the park’s amphitheater, there truly is something for everybody here.
