Bull Run Regional Park offers many things to those looking for some fresh air and respite from Northern Virginia gridlock. Civil War enthusiasts, however, will readily identify Bull Run with the two battles fought at nearby Manassas National Battlefield Park. Touring information can be found at the park’s visitor center located on VA 234, which includes a bookstore offering an extensive array of Civil War titles. You can also pick up a battlefield map that details the various trails, roads, and sites that were part of First Manassas in July of 1861 and Second Manassas in August of 1862.

Started going here towards the End of July as I just got back into fishing. Fished there 4 times now. Lots of Largemouth bass and Bluegills. Great place to take the kids to learn. Bass are hitting hard on Zara spooks, and white or green spinnerbaits. If you do go here I recommend hiking to the other side of the lake away from the bouys that are out there as there is a pontoon boat that cirlces the lake for joy rides and they get very close to the shore and show no respect for those fishing. other than that problem the fishing is great where the boat dont go./
