A short loop hike to a spectacular rocky summit with a short boulder scramble at the top. This a great hike for families. The trailhead is located at a sign in the Blackrock parking lot that interprets the mountain’s geology.

Nice easy hike, the trees were just beginning to green and we hiked on a cold day. Still the Riprap rocks or rock slide slope off the trail is beautiful with the lichen growing on the rocks. Good climbing rocks near the end of the trail at calvary rock. Chimney rock is nothing special but the view is very nice of the valley west.

Very nice little hike. The scramble to the top of Calvary Rocks is very tretrous but the views are great! when you get toe Chimney Rocks, don't bother getting to the very edge of the second rock if you don't feel safe. The view doesn't change much. Get on this trail early to catch the wildlife and miss the other hikers.
