Beautiful but challenging hike. I chose to do this on a day that was 100 degrees - not my best idea. Walking next to the stream is beautiful, but tends to attract lots of bugs. Stairs on down slope are treacherous - I fell twice. I would do this hike again, but in cooler weather.
From parking lot - descending Buck Ridge Trail - the trails runs alongside a beautiful stream - nice and easy hike. At the 'fork' you ascend Buck Hollow - first flat - but be prepared for a moderate heart-pumping climb up - after that - it's flat - good trail running back to the parking lot.
Excellent cascades and easy climbs. Saw several black bear and wildlife towards the middle of the hike near 211.
