This is the highest campground on the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, nearly 5,000 feet. And that is just the beginning of the superlatives here. Try secluded campsites just for tent campers in a high country forest, complete with stately spruce trees. How about nature trails circling the campground? Throw in some new hot showers added to the comfort stations and add some fantastic views along the parkway, and you have a great tent camping destination.

This is a great campground with a lot of shady trees and privacy. the sites are not too close together. There is pleny to do if you enjoy the outdoors, but it is a little out of the way for shoppers and such. Great value at $12 per night - no electric hookups.
