Pogue Creek Canyon State Natural Area, over 3,000 acres in all, was acquired in 2006 from the Nature Conservancy to protect the spectacular views of Pogue Creek Canyon and to protect several species of plants found only on the bluffs and rock outcroppings in this area of the Cumberlands.
This trail was constructed in 2014 in one of Tennessee’s newest state natural areas. The trail stays on top of the Cumberland Plateau but winds around by several nice rock formations, bluffs, and rock houses before ending out on the spectacular overlook of Pogue Creek Canyon.
