Woodsy trails and colonial roads make Historic Bethabara Park a nationally significant place to go history hiking. Any visitor to this park will check out the restored buildings (tours are available April to December) and loop the 0.6-mile Colonial Arboretum behind the visitor center, but hikers wanting a real trail experience will find plenty of additional paths. Besides the main trails that explore forested heights, streamsides, and wetlands, there are a wealth of side trails the park’s literature calls “spurs.”
