We spent about an hour trying to find the trailhead on this trail. Hwy 99 is under heavy construction and the trailhead seems to be lost in the large mounds of sand and dirt used for the road project. After a few near misses with a semi truck on Hwy 99, we finally walked up the sand piles until we found something that resembled a trail. We followed it for a few hours, but it didn't seem to match the trail description and due to heavy wind damage there are many large trees that you have to navigate on the trail. It's a beautiful area, but we never did find any overlooks or scenic spots, only dense forest. I would recommend trying to find another hike in the area.
