Due to time restrictions did not do the Mt Elsay Loop, but just the Elsay Lake Trail, ended up going off trail because once you get the pass Canadian Pass most of markers are only on the side of the rock. Ended up off trail and following another tapped route where others had lost their way as well. After back tracking, we found the route no problem, and then realized that you could only see most of the markers on the way back. Next time we will be able to find the trail for sure.
Be sure to look for orange markers along the pass on both side of the rocks and trees...their are many intersecting trails as well. Very beautiful and sceneic trail, also suggest be prepared to be caught in the mountains overnight.
