A Little steep, but the views were wonderful. Not very busy, only saw 2 other groups on the trail. Was still a little muddy, but not bad. Overall, an enjoyable hike that will be done again.
Great hike anytime of year. The snow was affected by the high winds we recently had. Snow varies from wind deposited powder to hard bullet proof wind blown snow. Trail easy to follow. A loop is possible by linking bear mtn with the lower north west ridgeline over to another small rise and then down the ridge to a small trail going down a small bowl into a gully, down into the woods and comes out on the main trail a couple hundred yards from the trail head. The loop can be done in either direction. The reverse of the description above is my favorite way.
