GREAT TRAIL!! Even though it was a wet one we managed to complete the 15 miles.
Loved this hike far enough out town but not to far. Most the the trail you can still get cell service with the right carrier. And after the long hike a short drive to the hotsprings to soak.
This is a great, but well-populated, over-night trip. The rock formations are truely fantastic, and there's plenty of them. There's also lots of camping at various points both before you get to the top, in the open valley on the top, and just before you start going down again. The valley at the top is a very marshy slog.
We were actually passed by a runner at the start of the trip... then passed again several hours later by the same runner coming back the opposite direction along the loop. Yikes!
