Relatively short and strenuous hike that has it all -- rock hopping, stream crossings, scree slopes, and outstanding views. Starting out in the dense spruce forest, you steadily gain elevation as you follow the creek up to the pass. Look for rock cairns once the trail fades. The grade becomes steep as you near the pass, but the footing is sure on the tundra. The views at the pass are worth the effort. I started my hike in the late afternoon, so I camped in the pass and continued the next day. Highly recommend.
