Sisters Mirror Lake is a bit deceptive. When you reach the namesake lake for this run, you ?nd that there really isn’t much of the Sisters mountains to re?ect in the lake—in fact, only the uppermost portion of South Sister peeks over the ridgeline. The alpine lake setting of the area more than makes up for it, however, as the inviting blue waters and the picturesque shoreline stand out here. Even more of a highlight, though, may be the countless “hidden” lakes around Sisters Mirror Lake. Just beyond the lake to the west and southwest lie lake after lake after lake, including many comparable in size to Sisters Mirror Lake. So for those who like a little exploration and adventure o? the beaten path, this run is for you.
