Hands-down, the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail is one of the most spectacular trails in the United States. This may sound like a bold claim, but after running a few miles through the pristine old-growth wilderness, most trail users will agree. The 26.5 miles of singletrack are punctuated by amazingly clear lakes and streams, roaring waterfalls, interesting lava ?ows, deep and mesmerizing aquamarine pools, and some of Oregon’s most breathtaking scenery.
