Shevlin Park is one of those places that make trail runners like me feel lucky to live in Central Oregon. The park is right on the edge of town and is a quick drive from almost anywhere in Bend, but it provides a wilderness-like experience, as if you were much farther from civilization. It’s a favorite of many locals, and for good reason.
