This easy hike leads you alongside and through rows of overgrown shrubs and trees that create dark tunnels for you to walk through. These rows of sometimes-exotic plants were planted here in the 1950s by self-taught botanist William Long to introduce new species of trees and shrubs to the Philadelphia area. On this hike you’ll also have a chance to explore a stone springhouse and a Colonial-era farmhouse and barn that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
