This medium-size urban lake adjacent to the Colorado River on the south side of Grand Junction provides a launching site for boaters and rafters to the river. One of the few West Slope impoundments to receive stocked 10-inch rainbow trout (approximately 32,000 annually), fishing for them with worms and lures is furious each spring. Some may survive and grow into even bigger fish.
