These peaks represent the last of the “easy” Gore Range summits. All Class 2 hikes, there are a few ways to approach these adventures. If you’re looking for a quick outing, Uneva Peak off Vail Pass will do the job. If you want to soak in the deep beauty of the Gore Range Trail and the photogenic Wheeler Lakes (and want a longer day out), go for the Gore Range Trail. Shrine Mountain and Wingle Ridge have great views of one of Colorado’s most recognizable mountains, Mount of the Holy Cross in the Sawatch Range. For pure hiking, this area is spot on.
