This small mountain packs in a lot of adventure. Despite never breaking treeline, this is a scenic outing that involves a small section of confident off-trail navigation to reach the top. It’s also a great quickie hike if you don’t ascend to the summit (and there are acres of wild raspberries to be discovered in August). Tenderfoot also grants access to a ridgeline on the south side of I-70—probably the least-hiked mountains in this corridor.
