Mining history is rich at this four-wheel-drive accessible trailhead. Argentine Pass is the main draw here, offering a very nice hiking path up to Mount Edwards and Argentine Peak. There’s also the opportunity to wander up to Ganley Mountain and McClellan Mountain, two peaks on the ridge that make up the eastern walls of nearby Stevens Gulch. Most SU Vs and even high- clearance SUCs can make this trailhead, assuming they have enough muscle to get up a few steep, dirt roads at the start.
