The 7:30 Mine Trail is one of the true hidden hiking gems off I-70. This well-maintained, Class 1 trail passes several impressive mine ruins, all the time offering excellent views of the I-70 corridor below. The trail ends at the Griffin Monument at Brown Gulch. Intrepid peak baggers must head off-trail into the woods to get above treeline. Silver Plume Mountain is the marquee peak, featuring a nifty summit block scramble.
