Hyde Park, with its lovely older homes; busy commercial square; and shaded streets filled with walkers, runners, and bicyclists, is one of Cincinnati’s most desirable neighborhoods. Located 5 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati, Hyde Park could take up several chapters in this book because it’s such a wonderful place to explore. Hyde Park Square features events with citywide appeal too. Hyde Park Blast is a nationally ranked cycling race, run, and street party in June, and the Hyde Park farmers’ market takes place every Sunday, June through October. It’s the only local farmers’ market in Cincinnati where streets are closed to vehicles. Hyde Park Art Show in October is the largest juried art show in the Midwest.
