Stone pillars greet you at the entrance to this lovely state park. A mix of oak and pine trees scattered throughout the campground provide lots of shade, but the campsites could be spread out a little better. There are two distinct loops: one is your typical family-style campground, and the other is dedicated to equestrian campers. If you weren’t told this, you wouldn’t really be able to tell, except that the sites are a bit larger to accommodate horse trailers.
