This backpack route goes along the South Fork Imnaha River, from West Fork Wallowa River Trail over Hawkins Pass to the junction with North Fork Imnaha River Trail. It makes a great multiday trip through the north-central and eastern parts of the Wallowa Mountains. Access to Cliff Creek, Blue Creek, Boner Flat, North Fork Imnaha River, Lick Creek, Deadman Canyon, and Imnaha River Trails can be had from this trail. (Trails 1820 and 1816)
