This backpack or long day hike from Main Eagle CreekTrailhead to Eagle Lake accesses Bench Canyon, Lookingglass Lake, and Trail Creek Trails. The trail heads up the left (west) side of Eagle Creek and crosses Boulder Creek. It then climbs some distance away from Eagle Creek to get around slide debris. At the Lookingglass Lake Trail junction there is a meadow between the trail and Eagle Creek, with some good campsites along Eagle Creek next to this meadow. Lookingglass Lake Trail turns to the right, drops down, and crosses the meadow. Main Eagle Creek Trail goes by some campsites and crosses a couple of small streams in the next 0.5 mile, to where it makes a switchback. After making the switchback the trail climbs, crossing two more very small streams, and then crosses Cached Creek.
