This trail connects FR 100 to the China Ridge Trail (1906).(Trail 1951) Squaw Creek Trail is a little out of the way and not heavily used so there is a good chance you will have it to yourself. There are good views looking south into the Powder RiverValley from the upper part of the route and at the junction with China Ridge Trail, the view opens up to the north and includes much of the Wallowa Mountains. There is also a good chance of seeing wildlife along this trail.
