A short trail that climbs from the lush Catherine Creek Meadows to the ridgeline at Deadhorse Flat. Catherine Creek/Deadhorse Trail (1909) heads west from the junction of North Fork Catherine Creek Trail (1905). After going 150 yards the trail makes a switchback, then crosses a stream 200 yards farther along. The trail then climbs, making eight switchbacks in the next 0.6 mile. Above the switchbacks the trail flattens out at the top of a spur ridge. It crosses a small stream 275 yards after topping out. Just after crossing the stream, the trail comes into a meadow. This meadow is Deadhorse Flat.
