Located within R.J.D. Memorial Hardwood State Forest, this rustic campground has carry-in boat access to the scenic Zumbro River. It also has several hiking trails, totaling almost 8 miles of varying difficulty, with one short stretch that’s wheelchair-accessible. One stretch runs along the river bluffs and is open for horse riding. Within the forest itself is access to the Cannon, Root, Mississippi, and Whitewater Rivers, as well as mountain biking trails and 21 miles of ATV trails. (Note: The forest is open to hunters, so take precautions if camping during hunting season.) Campsites are set apart for privacy and peace. Pets are allowed.
