This lushly wooded campground is next to Chester Woods Lake, a man- made lake that’s stocked with bass, catfish, and panfish and is the headwaters to Bear Creek. The park itself offers canoe and kayak rentals to explore the lake and creek.
The lake is connected to the campground via a paved trail, and 15 miles of unpaved trails for hikers and horse riders wind through dense woods. The campsites are rather close together, but trees add some shade and privacy. Pets are allowed.
