Located on South Heron Lake, this park has an especially high concentration of waterfowl, such as white pelicans and Canada geese. Those populations have been encouraged by the addition of more than 2,000 food-producing shrubs and trees, and there’s a wildlife pond in the park as well. An observation tower allows visitors to get a broader view of the wildlife. Walleye, northern pike, and bluegill can be caught in the lake. Campsites are fairly close together, although many have trees. Pets are allowed.
