Privacy doesn’t exist in this campground, but the campers who come here aren’t looking for that. St. Paul is home to the second- largest state fair in the United States, and campers here are either exhibiting animals at the fair, or they’re hard- core fans of this annual event and want to be near all the fun. (Note: Fair admission is not included in the price of camping. Still, if you plan to take in several days of fair activities, this is a good option. You will avoid the massive fair traffic, pay a lot less for a campsite than for a hotel room, and save money on food by cooking at your campsite.) The fair lasts 12 days, through Labor Day, and the campground is open a few days before and after to accommodate arriving and departing campers. Pets are not allowed in this campground.
