The Minnesota River valley is home to this park, and its rolling, varied terrain provides a beautiful haven from the adjacent metro area. A good way to explore is through the park’s trail system, which includes 19 miles of hiking trails, 11 miles of singletrack mountain bike trails, and 10 miles of horse trails. There are also several miles of canoe routes that connect several lakes and ponds within the park. Campers who like to fish are likely to catch panfish and northern pike. The heavily forested campground provides a remote feel. Pets are allowed.
