Green Lake is a favorite of walleye enthusiasts, and the lake itself is deep and clean, making it popular with swimmers. The beach has a lifeguard on duty during regular hours. A paved trail runs through the campground and gives campers access to the nearby Glacial Lakes State Trail, which has 22 miles of paved multiuse surface as well as an additional 5 miles of unpaved trail. The paved portion has a grassy trail adjacent for horse riding. The campsites are wooded and reasonably private, with easy access to the lake. Note that the campground only takes reservations of 7 days or more. Pets are allowed.
