Located just outside Bowstring State Forest, this campground is close to Moose Lake, known for its walleye and muskie fishing. There’s a swimming beach as well. Within the forest itself are several other excellent fishing lakes, including Lake Winnibigoshish (Lake Winnie). The 15-mile Soo Line North ATV Trail runs through the scenic state forest. (Note: This park is open for grouse hunting in the fall, so take precautions if camping during hunting season.) Campsites are heavily wooded and private. Pets are allowed.
