Located within Finland State Forest, this primitive campsite offers extensive privacy and a quieter atmosphere than nearby Tettegouche State Park. Sullivan Lake is a decent fishing lake, and nearby are trout streams that also have access points for canoes and kayaks. There’s a boat ramp into the lake, or you can take the hiking trails out of the campground to some shore-fishing spots as well. The forest itself has 25 miles of mountain biking trails. (Note: The forest is also open to hunters, so take precautions if camping during hunting season.) Pets are allowed.
