Located within Superior National Forest, this small campground is near Hogback Lake, a stocked trout lake (for which you need a trout stamp beyond the usual fishing license). Two of the backcountry sites are hike-in, and the other 3 are accessible by boat or canoe. Several small lakes nearby are accessible from Hogback via canoe, at least most of the time—the connections are mostly open or portage-friendly. Six miles of hiking trails give hikers scenic vantage points over the lake. There is no drinking water, so plan accordingly. This is a pack- out campground. Winter camping is allowed, but roads may not be plowed. Pets are allowed.
