Located within Superior National Forest, Echo Lake Campground is also near Boundary Waters entry points and is often used as a night before or after stop by campers heading into the wilderness. The campsites are not right on the water, but are set back in a stand of aspens with few water views. However, the nice sandy swimming beach, scenic hiking trails, and walleye-and panfish- laden Echo Lake easily make up for the lack of views. Pets are allowed.
