This campground is a good choice for campers who want access to the Boundary Waters but can still car camp. Two eastern bays of East Bearskin Lake are within the Boundary Waters (boaters who access them will need to obtain the required permit), and the lake is a good fishing lake with bass, walleye, and lake trout usually in abundance. Wildlife viewing and bird watching are good bets here, and there are hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country ski trails available as well. Pets are allowed.
