Tettegouche is one of the most visually stunning parks on the North Shore, and the various recreational offerings within it serve that scenery well. Here are 23 miles of hiking trails, 12 miles of ski trails, and 12 miles of snowmobile trails, many of which lead to vistas overlooking Lake Superior and the Sawtooth Mountains. Some of the hiking trails lead to inland lakes accessible only by foot. Rock climbing is offered here as well, and the park is a big draw for bird-watchers too. Spring and fall finds anglers fishing for salmon. The campsites are nicely spaced for privacy, but the popularity of this park requires making reservations well in advance. Pets are allowed.
