This campground is on a peninsula surrounded by Little Cut Foot Sioux Lake, Bit Cut Foot Sioux Lake, and the First River, meaning there’s plenty to do for boaters, canoers, and kayakers. Trophy muskies can be caught here, as well as walleye and northern pike. The lakes also connect to Lake Winnie, a much larger lake with plenty of game fish. The 26-mile Cut Foot Sioux National Recreation Trail runs through the campground and connects with the Simpson Creek Trail, adding another 13 miles of hiking. Bears have been spotted in the vicinity, so take precautions, especially regarding food storage. Campsites are reasonably spaced and wooded, offering plenty of privacy, and all are either adjacent to water or have water views. Pets are allowed.
