Leech Lake is one of the state’s premier fishing lakes, where walleye, perch, bass, muskie, and northern pike can all be found. The campground itself is attractive and well maintained, and surrounded by a mixed forest of elm, ash, maple, aspen, and pine. Beautiful hiking trails and a playground provide additional recreational opportunities. During the busy summer season, environmental education is offered as well. The campsites are generously spaced, many with trees, and offer a good amount of privacy. Pets are allowed.
