This lovely campground is situated on Cross Lake, which offers a heavily wooded shoreline providing plenty of shade. There’s a good- size fishing pier, and the lake is a good source of crappie, walleye, northern pike, and bluegill. Campsites are fairly close together, but the heavy tree cover provides some privacy. Pets are allowed. Minnesota may be best known for its northeast corner along Lake Superior, and certainly that’s a strikingly beautiful place, but the northwest part of the state, while very different in terrain and feel, has great beauty as well. Even better, it has excellent outdoor recreational opportunities.
