Located within Chippewa National Forest, most of these sites are boat in and along the Pike Bay Connection canoe route or along the Mississippi River. Primitive and remote, the sites are heavily wooded and are especially good for bird- watchers. There is no drinking water, so plan accordingly. Call the forest service for specific directions (and for information on which sites are the best). These sites are strictly haul- out. Pets are allowed.
