The small campground in Hallock doesn’t offer much privacy, but it has access to the town’s pool and is on the waterway. Fishing on the Two Rivers waterway can yield northern pike and walleye, and the campground isn’t far from the Red River of the North, another good spot for game fishing. Golfers can access the nearby Two Rivers Golf Club, a 9-hole course. Pets are allowed. Minnesota may be best known for its northeast corner along Lake Superior, and certainly that’s a strikingly beautiful place, but the northwest part of the state, while very different in terrain and feel, has great beauty as well. Even better, it has excellent outdoor recreational opportunities. Along the borders of the Dakotas and the Red River Valley, the land is flat, and you can drive for miles and see nothing but immense tracts of agriculture.
