A small campground on the west side of the small town of Greenbush, Legion Park is adjacent to a 9-hole golf course. There’s also a public swimming pool and race park nearby. Sites are wooded, and the city recently installed new playground equipment. Given its size, privacy is generally not an issue. Pets are allowed. This is a boater’s and angler’s dream region, especially the area right across the top of the state with Lake of the Woods, the Rainy River, and Rainy Lake, often referred to as the Walleye Capital of the World (to the chagrin of some of the other walleye lakes in Minnesota). Lake of the Woods, most of which is in Canada, has 65,000 miles of shoreline and 14,000 islands.
