The loop through Crane Creek Regional Park is a pleasant hike across open hills dotted with oaks and buckeyes. There are great views of vineyards, Sonoma Mountain, and Taylor Mountain. Crane Creek Regional Park is nestled into the rolling foothills on the western slope of towering Sonoma Mountain. The giant rounded mountain forms the divide between the Sonoma Valley to the east and the Laguna de Santa Rosa and Petaluma River watershed on the west. The peak is the highest point in the Sonoma Mountains, which includes nearby Annadel State Park and Taylor Mountain.
