This trip passes by Fort Casey State Park, Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve, and Fort Ebey State Park. See the historic lighthouse above Admiralty Head, the windswept grassy bluff and estuary of Ebey’s Landing, and miles of vertical bluffs and empty beaches. With no areas of wind protection, swirling currents from the strait and Puget Sound colliding, and possible large surf at Patridge Point, the route is listed as Exposed.

Flat, flat, flat. But that is to be expected. This trail runs along the irrigation dike beside the bay seperating it from the crops along the roadside. We did it at low tide and the extensive mud flats were completely exposed. There is no shade along the trail and only port-o-lets at each end of the trail. There were numerous herons along the trail but little else on the day of our hike. The trial is suitable of familys, new hikers, bikes and strollers.
