The trip takes you from Round Pond north to explore along Muscongus Harbor and Greenland Cove, with an educational lunch stop at Hockomock Point. The National Audubon Ecology Camp has a visitors center and nature trail here, both open to the public. The site has a small gravel boat ramp just below the boathouse on the point directly across from its Hog Island camp. (This ramp can be used for landing and a visit, but not as a launch site with parking.) Please do not land on Hog Island, but enjoy paddling its shoreline. We recommend circumnavigating Hog Island because its largely undisturbed shoreline can offer some great bird-watching.
